Today I had dance group. We went over the dance a lot; we practised the dance on the stage. I think the dance looks ok. Some people are out of time.
I was showing leadership by being respectful and not talking when the dance group teacher was talking , even thought others were that didn't make me talk while the teacher was.

Pals-Merit Blog Post 5

Last Thursday I had Pals. I ran a game for the Kauri team. It was dodge ball. First there was not that many people so we started running a game of 1 against 1 and then more people joined. I was showing leadership by still running the game even if there wasn't a lot of people playing.

Today I had Dance Group. At dance group we didn’t add anything because the teacher wanted to make the first bit really good. So we went over the dance a lot. I was being a good leader by not talking to the other people next to me when someone else was talking.

Today I was showing leadership by not running on the courts because the field was wet everyone had to be on the court, so there were more people on the court. If you run you could knock someone over and it is even worse if it is a little kids. I also was getting involved by going to the library with my friends and then we went to see the little kids.

PALs-Merit Blog Post Can Do 4

On Thursday I remembered to turn up to my PALs duty. We had to run a game for the Kauri Team.My group and I ran relays but with basketballs. So one of the things they had to do was bounce the ball down to the first line and then throw the ball to the next person in line. There were way more things they had to do but that was just one of them. The people in my PALs group played and so did I because there were not many people but the people who did come wanted to play, so we joined in so the teams were even.

Technolagy and on the bus-Merit Blog Post Must Do 4

On Tuesday's the year 7/8's go to Technolagy at another School. On the bus I was talking to the person next to me and only the person next to me. I also said thank you to the bus driver. When we were at Tech I showed the CARE values to the teachers, students from my School and students from the School we were at. I didn't talk when the teacjer or other people were giving ideas. I also repected their devices that they had there for us to use.I was helping other people and other people were helping me.

PALs-Merit Blog Post Can Do 3

On Thursday I ran a PALs game with my PALs group for the Kauri Team. We ran a game of 50/50. How you play 50/50 is there is a king on one line and the rest of the people lined up on the other line. The King says a number 5 or below and pass's it to the first person in line, whatever number they say is how many bounces they can take. Then they shoot if they get it in the kings takes a shoot and if the king gets it in aswell he/she stays being the king but if they miss then the person who got it in gets to be the king. Then the game goes on and on.

I wore my orange vest and handed out pozis to some of the students who were trying their best and giving it a go. We ran the game on the basketball court. People were giving it their best shot and even if they missed getting it through the hoop they kept playing. When I gave them their pozi they still kept playing.
I was showing leadership by turning up to my duty on time as we only run a game at the second half of lunch, so I went to my duty once I had finished helping out at junior dance.

Being a good role model-Merit Blog Post Must Do 3

Today I showed that I am a good role model to others. As it was wet and slippery I didn't run on the concrete because if I did run I could slip or run into someone as the field is closed and everyone is on the concrete this is more likely to happen. That was being a role model because I was doing the right thing and others followed and I didn't see many people run that much either.

On Tuesday I had dance group. We came up with more of the dance and I helped add some of the moves. We practiced the dance a lot and added a bit. But the dance is slowly forming each week we are getting closer to finishing the dance. I was showing leadership by being goal focused because when the teacher asked what we could add to the dance I was thinking of some things and when some people forgot a bit of the dance I reminded them.

PAL's today-Merit Blog Post Can Do 2

 I have been remembering to turn up to my PAL's duty on time and at the right place without being reminded. Today I had PAL's and I ran  a game for the Kakano team.
We ran a game of what's the time Mr Wolfy and duck duck goose. We started off by playing What's the time Mr Wolfy and then we played duck duck goose. Some students from the Kauri team decided to come over and join in and I had to say to them that they couldn't play they tried to get me to say they could play but I told them no and they went and played their own game.
The younger students seemed to enjoy the games.

Today we went to technolagy. I was respecting the teachers at tech by when they told us to do something I didn't moan and groan. I respected the students at the School we were at and my fallow class mates. I respected the bus driver by saying thank you when I hopped off the bus. I was talking to the people only on the seat I was sitting on, on the bus trips.

Today for the first half of lunch time I had senior dance group. We create a dance and then we end up performing it. The first week we went we just wrote our names who was joining dance group and came up with possible songs to dance to. In the second week we went we voted on a song and then we came up with a bit of the dance. That week we only got though 8 counts. In the third week we came up with about 16 or 24 counts of the dance and went through the dance alot. This week we git through 8 counts but went over the dance alot of times.

I was resilient by repeatavily squating down and it was sore on my knees but I carried on.

PAL's-Merit Blog Post Can Do 1

On Thusday I had PAL's for the Kauri team. I had to run it by myself because one person was on year 7 camp and the other person didn't turn up. I ran a game of dodge ball. There were a few students who I had to explain to them that they couldn't play because they weren't in the Kauri Team. But other than that most people played by the rules and fairly. After the game had finished some people helped me pack up and I thanked them but I had no pozi's with me so I told them to see the next time I was running a PAL's game for the Kauri team to get a Pozi.

1 way I was showing leadership was by being Goal Focused because I was not going off and talking to my fiends and letting the game go out of control.

Today at School the year 8's had to plan a game for the younger kids. Grace and I planned a game called Ganny's treasure.  We got one group and then we would go back and get another group.
